Our patients,
who come by making an appointment from the central hospital appointment system
(MHRS) and are examined at the FTR Polyclinic in Sultangazi Haseki and Fatih
Haseki Central Campuses, are treated by the doctor for low back, neck, and
joint pain, rheumatic diseases, sports injuries, fractures, and post-operative
problems, fibromyalgia, MS, Parkinson's, facial paralysis, partial paralysis,
and neurological diseases are directed to the FTR Unit in Fatih Haseki Central Campus
for physical, treatment, rehabilitation and exercise applications. As a result
of the doctor's examination, our patients, who are deemed necessary for
physical, treatment, and rehabilitation should apply to the FTR Unit in Fatih
Haseki Central Campus. FTR Polyclinic service is provided in Sultangazi Haseki
Campus; however, our FTR Unit is not located on this campus.
The
Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation provides services with the
aim of restoring functional movements that decrease due to injury, illness,
trauma, or old age and aiming to increase the quality of life of the
individual. Our aim in our unit; to support our patients to live with a
pain-free, unrestricted, problem-free, and strong body.
Our patients
who were examined at the FTR Polyclinic in Sultangazi Haseki and Fatih Haseki
Central Campuses; all kinds of rheumatic diseases concerning the spine,
muscles, and joints, sports injuries such as meniscus, muscle and ligament
injuries, limitations after orthopedic operations such as joint prosthesis
surgeries, neurological diseases such as facial paralysis, spinal cord
paralysis, MS, Parkinson's, ALS, movement restrictions after fractures. In some
respiratory diseases, physical therapy is applied to eliminate postural
problems such as scoliosis and kyphosis. Patients are directed to the FTR Unit
in Fatih Haseki Central Campus for physical therapy-rehabilitation and exercise
applications.
In our unit
located in Fatih Haseki Central Campus; while TENS, dynamic flow, interference
current-vacuum, infrared, paraffin, and the therapeutic US, traction for the
spine can be applied from pain relief methods; electrical stimulation and
therapeutic exercises are performed to strengthen the muscles. In addition, for
joint limitations stretching exercises, for walking problems;
balance-coordination and walking exercises and protective-preventive home
program-style exercise recommendations are given.
There are 12
physical therapy cabins and 2 exercise rooms in our Physical Therapy Unit.
Sessions last an average of 45-60 minutes and are applied in the form of 10-15
sessions. Rehabilitation applications require longer sessions. In our unit, an
average of 100-120 patients can be served daily.
