The Internal Medicine Intensive Care
Unit of our hospital has been serving in Sultangazi Campus since November 2019.
Our unit consists of 7 beds and has second-level intensive care status.
In our Intensive Care Unit, patients
that require close follow-ups such as COPD, heart failure, resistant
hypertension, diabetic ketoacidosis, GI bleeding, hepatic encephalopathy, acute
pancreatitis, renal failure, and electrolyte imbalances are followed up and
treated.
Non-invasive and invasive mechanical
ventilation is applied to patients with respiratory failure when necessary.
Patients who have no need for third-level intensive care following treatment in
our unit are transferred to the internal medicine service or palliative care
unit.
